Сервер обновления 18.04 на рабочий стол как минимальная установка

• Установите минимальную систему (без любого пакета программы экс-попытки).

• Начальная загрузка в минимальную систему и установка рабочий стол Ubuntu

  sudo apt install ubuntu-desktop
  

  После перезагрузки Вас должен иметь Ubuntu. Я не знаю то, что Вы подразумеваете под минимальной установкой, и я не знаю, почему Вы хотите начать с Сервера Ubuntu.

  Можно установить простой менеджер окон вместо рабочего стола Ubuntu для получения очень легкой графической системы, с которой можно запустить startx,

  sudo apt install fluxbox xinit xterm
  

  или Вы пробуете

  sudo apt install--no-install-recommends ubuntu-desktop
  

  который мог бы произвести то, что Вы хотите.

• Вы получаете другие легкие настольные среды через

  sudo apt install lubuntu-core
  
  sudo apt install xubuntu-core
  

От журнала при установке Ubuntu 18.04 минимальная установка кажется, что в минимальной установке, пакеты удалены. Можно установить ubuntu-desktop и затем удалите пакеты.

Как упомянуто в исходном коде повсеместности, список пакетов, которые будут удалены, доступен в изображении ISO как /cdrom/casper/filesystem.manifest-minimal-remove.
