apt-get install rsyslog не работает из-за возможного несоответствия версий: как исправить / сообщить?

Вчера я без проблем запустил этот код в бродячем ящике (который не изменился за несколько недель). Сегодня это терпит неудачу:

Глядя на https://launchpad.net/~adiscon/+archive/ubuntu/v8-stable Я вижу, что репо было обновлено около 2016 года -05-06 11:00:00 UTC. Коллега считает, что проблема в том, что в репро нет библиотеки libfastjson для ubuntu/trusty, только для xenial.

У кого-нибудь есть обходной путь? Сработает ли замена ppa:adiscon/v8-stable на ppa:adiscon/v7-stable (это на самом деле громоздкое исправление того, как настроена наша система сборки, но я попробую)?
