Lubuntu - сборка команды vlc v.1 make и make install не работают

Building VLC

Once configured, run `make' to build VLC.
Installing and running VLC

You can install the VLC and its plugins by typing:
   make install
But you don't need to install it if you don't want to; VLC can be launched
from the current directory as well:
   ./vlc
Building packages
=================
To build a Debian package, you need to get the packaging info
   svn co svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-multimedia/videolan/vlc/debian debian 
and then
   dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -us -uc
To build RPM packages, copy a spec file from extra/package/rpm and:
   rpm -ba vlc.spec
To build an ipkg package (iPAQ familiar Linux), use:
   ipkg-buildpackage******

Как вы видите, возвращается, что я что-то упустил, но, поскольку я нуб в Linux, я не знаю, что и как я могу получить, поэтому я продолжил следуйте инструкциям, напечатав следующее: make, и это даст мне следующее сообщение об ошибке:

Я посмотрел в мои папки установки, и я заметил, что у меня нет файла makefile без расширения, так как Я читаю где-то еще в сети, всегда должен быть файл makefile без расширения в корне папки установки, в моем случае у меня есть только файлы makefile.am и makefile.in в корне.

Итак, мой вопрос: как СОЗДАТЬ этот файл, чтобы заставить работать команду MAKE? Или я упускаю что-то очевидное для установки?
