Вертикальный Bottom half of монитор is blank after updating видео драйверы

Just this morning I downloaded the latest Kernel (3.19.0-30). When I restarted and booted into it, the screen goes blank just before the login screen would have ест up. I хан still enter my password, and hit enter. The фанат spins. I hit Ctrl+Alt+T to get в терминал, do sudo reboot, enter my password, and the computer reboots. So the system is running, but не display.
I reboot into the oldest one that I have (3.19.0-25). Same problem.
I reboot into the next one (3.19.0-26). It works!
Why? What is going on here? And how to I make it so that I хан boot into the newest kernel without this problem?

Edit: When I follow the answer of @pilot6 below, I хан indeed boot into the most recent kernel that I have. But now I have в problem with my external монитор the bottom half of the external монитор (which is turned вертикальный) is chopped off! Установите собственных водителей Nvidia этот путь:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-346 nvidia-prime

Для переключения между графикой Intel и Nvidia - открывают NVIDIA X Server Settings-> Prime Profiles.
В случае, если у Вас были любые драйверы NVIDIA, установленные прежде и избегать возможных конфликтов, это - очень хорошая идея сначала удалить каждое связанное с Nvidia программное обеспечение, которое Вы установили прежде.
Откройте терминал и выполнитесь:
sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
sudo reboot
Примечание: Когда у Вас был установленный шмель прежде, это программное обеспечение должно быть удалено также.
