Installing GuestAddition
I have installed Ubuntu server версия 14. 04.3 on window 8.1 host. I am using Linux версия. My problem is that for over в month i have I have been unable to install guest-additions so that I хан использовал shared folders. I have install the VboxGuestAdditiond .iso file at the command prompt and mounted same in my home directory. I was able access the installer and initiate the installation and I have the following ошибка messages in the process:
- the headers for the current running kernel were not found. If the following модулировал compilation fails then this could be the reason.
- Building share folder модулировал fails (look at /var/log/vbox-install.log to find what went wrong).

Как @RalphRГ¶nnquist уже упомянутый, Вы выполнили установку как корень (т.е. sudo). Вам однако также нужны заголовки и среда сборки. Вы передаете их:
$ sudo apt-get install -y dkms build-essential linux-headers-generic linux-headers-$(uname -r)
Тогда попытка установить гостевые дополнения снова:
$ sudo /path/to/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
, поскольку Вы установили Ubuntu Server а не настольная версия Ubuntu, установка перестанет работать на X. Это должно быть что-то подобное Could not find the X.Org or XFree86 Window System.
