Ubuntu, управляющая 4K ТВ LG (55UF7600)

У меня есть ноутбук, который способен к управлению 4K, экраны (регулярно управляет экраном 2K). Я пытаюсь, без успеха, заставить это управлять 4K ТВ (LG 55UF7600) через Порт Дисплея к HDMI в (оба способны к 4K передачам). Однако Ubuntu только предлагает 1 080 пунктов как максимальное разрешение, которым она будет управлять по телевизору (через nvidia-settings и Settings -> Display). Я озадачен относительно почему.

Мое предположение - то, что ТВ отправляет несправедливости EDID, утверждая только поддерживать 1 080 пунктов. Я пытался добавить эту опцию к моему 10-monitor.conf файл:

Option "UseEDID" "FALSE"

Но это просто уничтожило X. Это не запустилось бы вообще ("синий" экран, никакой вход в систему).

Я пытался использовать get/parse-edid программное обеспечение, но я не должен использовать его правильно, потому что я не мог получить EDIDs.
