Не удалось выпустить обновление с 17.04 до 17.10 [дубликат]
На этот вопрос уже есть ответ здесь:
Поскольку 17.04 больше не поддерживается, я решил обновить до 17.10, но столкнулся со следующими ошибками, которые мне не удалось исправить:

Сначала мы зафиксируем Ваши репозитории:
sudo sed -i -re 's/([a-z]{2}\.)?archive.ubuntu.com|security.ubuntu.com/old-releases.ubuntu.com/g' /etc/apt/sources.list
Это должно скорректировать Ваш/etc/apt/sources.list для взгляда подобным этому:
deb основные пикантные обновления http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/
deb основные пикантные бэкпорты http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/
deb основная пикантная безопасность http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu пикантная основная вселенная ограничил мультивселенную
Затем выполненный:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Наконец, выполненный:
sudo do-release-upgrade
