обои дисплеев kubuntu 17.04 plasmashell затем разрушают другую работу приложений

Я плохо знаком с kubuntu и использовал его для нескольких прошлых месяцев без любого (non-self-caused) проблемы...

ОС является ядром Ubuntu Linux 17.04, Linux, 4.10.0-38-универсальный на x86_64

Вчера вечером я оставил работу и оставил выполнение ноутбука; этим утром я нашел, что plasmashell отказал - я наблюдал черный экран, но мышь, другие программы, несколько рабочих столов, дельфина, и т.д. - все хорошо работали. Просто никакая панель "меню", никакие обои для рабочего стола. Перезагруженный, вошел в систему, видел обои, затем они отказали снова.

Выполнил plasmashell от консоли; шоу обоев кратко (как на начальной загрузке), затем уходит. Вот вывод

Я вижу, что некоторые другие люди пытаются выполнить kdeshell, поскольку корень, создавая полного нового пользователя, так попробовали, что... новый пользователь, входит в систему - в значительной степени то же поведение, но немного отличающийся вывод (ни из-за какой персонализации я предполагаю),
