Как получить ключ Fn для работы на Thinkpad T430?

Я установил 16.04 на ноутбуке t430s. Ключ FN не работает, а это значит, что ни одна из клавиш FN не работает. (например, FN+F8 должен уменьшать яркость экрана.

работает xev в терминале, показывает, что ничего не регистрируется, когда я выдаю FN. FN keycombo регистрирует только нормальный Fkey (например, FN + [ f10] показывает тот же самый ключ в xev, что и F8.

Когда я рискую вниз до /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi и делаю ls -l hotkey_* | cut -d' ' -f9 Я получаю 9 файлов назад:

Какие имеют значения (cat hotkey*)

Так что в принципе - я понятия не имею, как заставить клавиши FN работать. Любая помощь очень ценится
