Ошибка спящего режима - не Могла записать байт: поврежденный канал
Внезапно, прямо после "включения" моего ubuntu 12.04 от спящего режима была ошибка
Не мог записать каналы bytes:broken

Это , ошибка № 1345217 - "nvidia-304-update (видеодрайвер) была удалена и неустанавливаемая после обновления HWE-Stack5 (от Ubuntu LTS 12.04.4 к 12.04.5)" и может быть исправлена путем следования инструкциям в этот ответ.
