Попытка отключить сенсорную панель при вводе, но испортила libinput по сравнению с synaptics конфигурациями (Ubuntu 16.04)

Новый пользователь Ubuntu. Использование 16.04 на XPS 9360.

Кратко, я хочу отключить сенсорную панель при вводе.

Последовали большому совету на этих страницах, включая:

1. Synaptics уже была там (xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-hwe-16.04)
2. Установленный touchegg (я также хотел иметь жесты с тремя пальцами),
3. Установленный libintput (xserver-xorg-input-libinput-hwe-16.04) (на основе этого)

В этом процессе я потерял и свою функциональность клавиатуры и сенсорной панели и должен был войти в корневой режим для отмены некоторых более ранних изменений. Я вернул сенсорную панель и должен был внести еще некоторые изменения установки (потерянный след тех) для возвращения клавиатуры.
