Пакет <имя пакета> не имеет кандидата на установку [дубликат]
На этот вопрос уже есть ответ здесь:
Я хочу установить некоторые приложения, но для любой команды установки указывается, что этот пакет не имеет кандидата на установку . Я даже не могу запустить sudo apt-get update .

Когда у меня не было "кандидата установки" проблема (но с другой установкой), проблема была с моим /etc/apt/sources.list. Это могло бы помочь проверить Ваш
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-security main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates main restricted universe multiverse
