Быстрое обходное решение, используют капитал -O (Один ручной режим выстрела) вместо маленького -o (Один режим выстрела) т.е.:
redshift -O 6500
GeoClue является службой Геолокации, для которой нужна включенная служба определения местоположения. Поэтому удостоверьтесь, что Служба определения местоположения включена из Настроек> Конфиденциальность:
Я получал ту же ошибку после создания конфигурационного файла (~/.config/redshift.conf) как объяснено на официальном сайте и теперь redshift и redshift-gtk хорошо работает:

Вы можете питаемая широта и долгота Вашего местоположения вручную 45-й (lat=) и 46-й (lon=) строка для вышеупомянутого конфигурационного файла. Обратите внимание, что я должен был измениться screen=1 кому: screen=0 в последней строке.
