Как заставить grub на самом деле запустить Windows 8 в классическом BIOS PC
Каждый раз, когда я устанавливаю операционную систему Ubuntu, она корректно распознает раздел Windows 8, однако при загрузке (это старый BIOS), после того, как я выбрал Windows 8 из меню GRUB, экран темнеет и загрузчик Windows 8 не загружается (он никогда не загружает Windows 8). Boot-Repair это не исправит. Если я снова использую bootrec /fixmbr (через USB для восстановления Windows 8), Windows 8 загружается, но GRUB отсутствует, поэтому мне нужно запустить ПК через USB Boot-Repair, который исправляет мои вкусы Ubuntu, но опять же Windows 8 не работает. На старом ноутбуке BIOS (без UEFI, без безопасной загрузки) я установил Windows 8.1 в первый основной раздел (sda1). Раздел имеет загрузочный флаг. Я отключил быстрый запуск Windows 8. Windows Update настроено на ручной режим; он не включает повторный быстрый запуск.
На некоторые логические разделы я установил несколько Ubuntu flavors (MATE, Kubuntu, Xubuntu. Я пробовал ванильный Ubuntu 16.04 и 20.10.
GRUB установлен в MBR SDA (он также был очищен и переустановлен Boot Repair).

После помощи от @oldFred в комментарии я попробовал пользовательский скрипт с этого сценария Archlinux (найдите на странице после NTLDR ключевого слова).
Я все еще использовал Chub Customizer для редактирования ввода меню.
Скрипт по умолчанию для Windows 8 (в этой странице) будет создать (когда я выбрал запись Windows, когда я был «живым» в Grub в Boot!) Новое вход меню с тем же именем, в конце список! Если я снова выбрал одну и ту же запись Windows, это создало бы еще одну идентичную запись меню в конце и так далее ... Если я тогда выбрал новый созданный ввод меню в конце, он запустит Windows.
Однако я хотел сделать это, чтобы вести себя нормально, поэтому я немного настроил его немного, а затем решена проблема, не более 2-ступенчатая загрузка меню!
