Ubuntu обновляет соединение Ethernet

После выполнения обновлений моего недавно установленного Ubuntu 14.04 на Lenovo T440p соединение Ethernet перестает работать. Теперь у меня нет возможности подключить его к Интернету (wi-fi никогда не работал. Я планировал заняться этим дальше). Как узнать, что не так?
