/ var / log / syslog не обновляется

У меня свежая установка ubuntu 20.04. Я установил ежедневную ротацию в файле /etc/logrotate.d/rsyslog с максимальным размером 1M, но файлы / var / log / syslog и kern.log продолжают увеличиваться. Вот конфигурация rsyslog и /etc/logrotate.conf.
