Просто обновил один из моих серверов до 12.04 (с 10.04), а Xorg больше не запускается, не будет lightdm или gdm.

Так что, похоже, вы хотите использовать модуль xgi для отображения, но один не найден. lspci показывает, что у меня есть встроенная карта XGI:

Это о степень моих умственных навыков Xorg - мне комфортно в командной строке, но мне не приходилось возиться с Xorg вообще со времен тёмных дней пре-ubuntu. т. е. не на протяжении многих лет.

Может ли кто-нибудь предложить, что я буду делать дальше?
