Мне нравится принятый ответ https://askubuntu.com/a/140214/168991 . Я помог, но не смог полностью решить мою проблему: я увидел сообщение об ошибке sh: 1: kde4-config: not found, в котором напечатано много моих программ x с тех пор, как я установил ubuntu 14 plus Trinity Desktop Environment. Я избавился от этого, создав на своем пути фиктивную программу /usr/local/bin/kde4-config, которая ничего не делает, кроме выхода с 1:
