Не удается переключить сенсорную панель с помощью xinput после обновления Ubuntu

Я столкнулся со странной неисправностью сенсорной панели и xinput. После одного из последних обновлений (период с 07/14/14 по 14/14/14) моя сенсорная панель перестала переключаться при работе с xinput.

Проверка с помощью xinput --test 12 сообщает об отсутствии событий вообще.

Итак ... Короче говоря: устройство имеет те же значения, что и раньше ... НО больше не работает.

Я также проверил synclient -l, но единственное важное значение «TouchpadOff» установлено на «0». Я также отключил опцию «отключить при вводе» в gnome-control-center, чтобы избежать каких-либо помех. И я проверил переключение enable-disable с помощью synclient touchpadoff=0 и synclient touchpadoff=1, которое работает безупречно. И наконец, я попытался переключить тачпад с помощью аккуратной маленькой кнопки под «Мышь / тачпад» в «gnome-control-center», которая, поскольку она создает те же события, что и я, приводит к тем же событиям xiput и результату.

Вопрос: есть ли какое-либо другое значение любого другого приложения, которое используется / отвечает за включение / выключение и ... если есть ... как я могу отследить его?
