Я недавно установил Ubuntu 18.04 в свой ноутбук вместе с Windows 10. К сожалению, мой внешний монитор, подключенный к HDMI-1, не работает в Ubuntu (не обнаружено). Я перепробовал почти все здесь и здесь . Он связан с HDMI-to-VGA_Adapter . Моя видеокарта - GeForce GTX 1650, и я попытался загрузить этот драйверы от NVidia. Кроме того, как вы можете видеть на рисунке, в настройках экрана даже не отображается макет экрана.
В Ubuntu 14.04 (мой старый ноутбук) я решал подобную проблему в прошлом, используя что-то вроде:

Но это тоже не сработало. Есть идеи?
ОБНОВЛЕНИЕ: Я запустил X -configure (работал только основной экран), как упоминание здесь и послесловия, которые я запустил nvidia-xconfig (работает только HDMI). Почему-то кажется, что nvidia взяла самый последний созданный файл xorg.conf.new и сделал из него собственный xorg.conf. Тем не менее, если я отключу HDMI все пусто. По крайней мере, теперь я вижу одну схему экрана (HDMI) и содержимое в окне приложения nvidia x server settings (раньше оно было пустым)

Наконец, я заставил его работать над двойным экраном. Я сделал много шагов и являюсь одним из решений, которое заставляет Вас задаться вопросом, "Оно работает, как??". Мои последние шаги были:
1 - Я позволил/выбрал gdm3 вместо lightdm как менеджер:
sudo gdm3
sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm3
2 - Войдите в следующие шаги режима восстановления здесь.
3 - Полностью удалите файл rm -rf /etc/X11/xorg.conf
4 - Выполненный X -configure, но НЕ заменяют файл, который был создан /root/xorg.conf.new в /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
5 - Перезагрузка в нормальный режим и я ожидал что-то испорченное, но внезапно парный монитор был активен и хорошо работал.
В настоящее время это работает ни с кем xorg.conf файл.
Я немного боюсь касаться его прямо сейчас, хотя это, я думаю, что должен попытаться воссоздать xorg.conf файл, возможно, через Nvidia?! Я надеюсь, что это могло быть полезно для других с подобной проблемой.
Кроме того, если я включаю безопасную начальную загрузку на BIOS, возвращается к нулевому и парному монитору, не работает, хотя та человечность работает правильно. Возможно, потребность к драйверам со знаком в ядро или что-то, я не уверен.
Если у кого-либо будет какая-либо идея о том, что на самом деле произошло, то я буду рад услышать.
