Проблемы с внешним монитором Sony Vaio

У меня проблемы с внешним монитором на ноутбуке Sony Vaio. Он успешно обнаруживается, но когда я пытаюсь включить второй внешний монитор, глюки экрана и задержки (это похоже на то, что видеодрайвер работает неправильно), и на втором мониторе ничего не отображается. Когда я использую внешний монитор, все кажется лучше - не мерцание и сбой, но когда я пытаюсь расширить проблемы, начинайте. Я использую проприетарные драйверы fglrx-update. UPDATE

Мне удалось заставить его работать над VGA со следующей командой:

xrandr --output VGA1 --auto --right-of LVDS1 --output VGA1 --scale 1.0001x1.0001

Тем не менее, он не работает через HDMI.
