Problem with nvidia драйвер - display not working properly after install
гm trying to do в fresh install of the latest lts ubuntu (14.04) on an old Делл Инспирон 6400 with в nvidia geforce 7300 видео card.
Everything is going good with the installation, except that ubuntu is using by default the nouveau display драйвер (xserver-xorg-video-nouveau). The problem with this драйвер is that every graphic animation is really slow, just moving в window around is в pain.
So, I installed the correct драйвер from nvidia (for this card, I believe the correct версия is nvidia-304). When гm starting ubuntu, I access the log in screen without problem. But after that, the desktop won't похвалите correctly. The background image is good, but everything else look ужасный and won't work correctly.

У меня такая же проблема с nvidia 7300 go в ноутбуке Acer Aspire 5635WLMi. Драйвер указывает от Nvidia, что правильным является v. 304. Этот драйвер работает правильно в Ubuntu 12.04, но не работает в Ubuntu 14.04. Это большая проблема для пользователей nvidia 7300, переходящих на ноутбуки.
