Что такое amd64 в “dpkg-l” вывод для некоторых пакетов а не для других?

Следующее является выводом dpkg -l команда в моей системе Ubuntu,

Из чего означает :amd64 в конце некоторых имен пакета т.е. e2fslibs:amd64 или gcc-4.8-base:amd64? Почему архитектура не указана для всех пакетов?

Приложения, которые имеют :amd64 как часть их имени, т.е. zlib1g:amd64, может также иметь их :i386 дубликат установил, ничего не теряя, и они могут сосуществовать в системе. Те, которым не определяли его на имя, т.е.xwayland, удалит amd64 версия и установка i386 версия, если, именно это установлен и наоборот. Приложения с all в архитектуре столбец означает, что приложение совместимо с обоими i386 и amd64 без потребности установить дубликат.
