добавление строки в/etc/rc.local будет работать.
gksudo gedit /etc/rc.local
и добавляют, что следующее в файл, x символизирует желаемый уровень яркости.
echo X > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
Это должно решить проблему, связанную с человечностью, я понятия не имею об окнах, можно попытаться проверить суперпользователя на решение для окон.
